I use collage and assemblage in my larger work and I wanted to add that style to this piece. I had created multiples in the past. A multiple meaning using more than one box to tell the story of the piece, but they had always been boxes of the same size. This one is much different, instead of 4 boxes of the same size and shape I wanted to assemble different sizes together. This piece uses 3 different boxes of varying sizes and one bag  to form a large rectangle. I then started to design for them. I am always interested in how far a medium can be pushed until it collapses. With thread and essentially cardboard, if too many stitches are used it will certainly fall apart. Each of the festive flowers stitched on these boxes are very stitch intensive and form a beautiful blue tonal arrangement when stitched. The designs were inspired by vintage peasant embroidery and when combined in this collage, without a doubt screams high fashion.
